When I was home alone with my daughter and playing clique with her and her lions, I just thought, okay, WTF, why do you always talk about that king of the beasts, the lion, but about all the lionesses who tear so much, one does not speak. They hunt, lovingly care for their offspring and keep the group together. With LEONA I want to make all of this visible.

​

And yes - that can be seen as  an allusion to our human society today. LEONA can therefore be an invitation to connect with each other, especially as women.

 

LEONA is an encourager, a protector - a talisman.
